Despite 400 years of history and innovation, DCNS – the European champion in naval defense and innovation in nautical energy – needed to come out of the deep and adopt an easy to recognize, impactful name. To consolidate its position and accelerate its international development, this stalwart of French excellence was looking for a strong, federating brand that communicates its expertise and newfound global reach far and wide.

By focusing on its fundamentals, we helped Naval Group enhance the readability of its expertise while clearly and effectively asserting its status. By drawing on its past to look into the future, the brand highlights its success while affirming its ambition to become a global leader in the naval industry. An ambition that aims to unite teams and attract new talent that will help to continue the journey.

Changing the name, staying the course

Seenk created and implemented a 360° campaign for the group, from the brand platform to the language elements, all the way to a new overarching graphic identity. The group can now clearly declare its mandate of pushing the shipbuilding industry's boundaries in France, Australia and India.
